U.S. to Ramp Up Military Presence in Europe to Counter Russia


MADRID—The U.S. will make its greatest navy growth in Europe because the Cold War, together with its first everlasting troop presence in Poland, as NATO prepares for 2 extra members to be part of the alliance in response to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

The announcement, which follows a NATO pledge this week to increase its high-readiness forces sevenfold, comes regardless of Washington’s efforts to shift U.S. consideration towards China and gives contemporary proof how Russia’s conflict is upending worldwide safety.
