U.S. Secretly Reviews Israel’s Plans for Strikes Against Iranian Targets in Syria

WASHINGTON—Israel secretly coordinates with the U.S. on most of the airstrikes it carries out in Syria because the allies face a battlefield crowded with militant teams, Iranian-backed militias and overseas militaries, in line with present and former U.S. officers.

American officers have mentioned little about Israel’s bombing missions, which have been aimed toward interrupting Tehran’s movement of superior weapons to Lebanese Hezbollah and diminishing Iran’s army forces and proxies in Syria.
