Germany Agrees to Compensation for Families of Israeli Athletes Killed at 1972 Olympic Games

MUNICH—Germany and the households of the Israeli athletes killed in a terrorist assault at the Olympic Games in Munich in 1972 have agreed on compensation for what the relations say was the mishandling of the assault and its aftermath by German authorities.

Israeli President Isaac Herzog and German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier stated an accord had been reached on compensation for the victims’ households.
