Chemours, DuPont, Corteva to Pay $110M in Settlement Agreement with State of Ohio

Chemours stated Wednesday that the corporate, alongside with two others, agreed with the State of Ohio to pay $110 million to resolve claims related with the manufacture and sale of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances, or PFAS.

Along with DuPont de Nemours and Corteva, the chemistry firm stated that the settlement resolves the state’s claims relating to releases of PFAS, also referred to as endlessly chemical compounds, from the businesses’ services together with the Washington Works facility positioned alongside the Ohio-West Virginia border.
