Uber and Lyft Want to Share the Wealth, Cheaply

Ride-hailing apps are bringing again the shared journey, with enhancements. Can sharing the wealth put them again in the driver’s seat?

After a pandemic-related hiatus, Uber Technologies started piloting a new shared-rides program late final 12 months. The firm stated Tuesday it launched the revamped program in a number of cities throughout the U.S., resembling New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Chicago. Dubbed Uber X Share, the program will broaden to extra cities later this summer time.
