Microsoft’s Activision Deal Raises Competition Concerns, Says U.K. Watchdog


The U.K.’s competition authority mentioned Microsoft deliberate acquisition of Activision Blizzard may hurt their rivals and newcomers to the videogame trade, including uncertainty to the $75 billion deal in one of many world’s largest markets for interactive leisure.

The Competition and Markets Authority began its investigation into the acquisition in July to find out whether or not it may reduce competitors within the U.Okay. On Thursday, the regulator mentioned it could give the businesses 5 working days to supply commitments to handle the competitors issues it flagged.
