Google Settles Gender Discrimination Lawsuit for $118 Million

Google agreed to pay $118 million to settle a lawsuit claiming the tech giant had discriminated in opposition to girls in pay and promotions.

The settlement concludes a class-action swimsuit in San Francisco Superior Court initiated in 2017 by three feminine former staff who stated that Google, a unit of Alphabet positioned them in lower-job ranges than equally certified males, leading to lower pay, and denied the ladies promotions or transitions to different groups that will have led to raised profession development.
