Facebook Parent Meta Agrees to End Alleged Discriminatory Practices in Housing Ads

WASHINGTON—Facebook guardian Meta Platforms agreed Thursday to undertake new internet advertising practices to settle an investigation by federal officers, who said its ads discriminated against users by race, gender and other factors.

In a submitting in federal district courtroom in New York, the Justice Department and federal housing officers mentioned they’d settle housing discrimination expenses towards Meta, with no admission of legal responsibility by the corporate, in trade for Meta’s settlement to make adjustments to its promoting distribution methods.
