Representatives from Randolph County Schools, Davis Health System and the DHS Foundation gathered to have fun the donation of Stop the Bleed kits for Randolph County colleges. ELKINS — Davis Health System is constant to present help — and life-saving coaching kits — for the Stop the Bleed program in Randolph County public colleges.
DHS workers and the DHS Foundation have been collaborating with Randolph County Schools to convey coaching and Stop the Bleed kits to every college in the county.
Stop the Bleed is the results of a collaborative effort led by the American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma to convey information of bleeding management to the public.
Stop the Bleed is a nationwide coaching program that focuses on a easy step method to saving lives throughout a mass casualty or different emergency occasion.
Thousands of individuals throughout the nation have obtained coaching making ready them to acknowledge and reply to life-threatening bleeding.
Since the native marketing campaign was launched in 2022, 12 coaching kits have been equipped to elementary, center and excessive colleges in Elkins, Harman, Tygarts Valley and Pickens.
Four kits have been supplied to D&E College.
Support for the native marketing campaign has been obtained from Citizens Bank of West Virginia, Grant County Bank, Mountain Valley Bank, the Rotary Club of Elkins, Follow Your Bliss, and the DHS Foundation.
“We thank our community partners for helping create safe spaces to work and learn,” stated DHS Foundation Director Mike Bell.
The kits vary in value from $500 to $800 relying on the variety of enrolled college students.
