The boundary-pushing silhouette itself incorporates a decidedly minimal development comprising solely a rubber shell-toe, an exaggerated PU midsole, a suede higher, and laces. Lacking an insole or strobel, the higher is stitched straight onto the mushy, light-weight, midsole, for a stark and brutal but expressive look, the corporate mentioned in a press launch.

With a completely collapsible higher and resulting from its thick, brick-esque outsole, the Y-3 KYASU may be stood vertically – providing a hanging silhouette that viscerally encapsulates Yohji’s avant-garde design imaginative and prescient.
