Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio: Trailer, Release Date, Cast

Netflix is reimagining the traditional story of Pinocchio for a forthcoming stop-motion musical directed by Oscar-winning director Guillermo del Toro. The newest teaser trailer, launched on July 27, highlights the narration from Ewan McGregor as Sebastian J. Cricket. In the voiceover, he warns that you just may suppose you realize this story, however “you do not.”

Netflix launched the primary teaser on Jan. 24, which gave viewers their preliminary glimpse on the stop-motion animation movie. Netflix’s “Pinocchio” — which del Toro has been engaged on for over a decade — relies on the unique 1883 Italian story written by Carlo Collodi, which Disney revamped in 1940 with its personal animated film.
