Drew Barrymore Celebrates E.T. With Cast Reunion


Drew Barrymore famously performed Gertie in “E.T.” when she was simply 7 years previous. Now, the 47-year-old is celebrating the film’s fortieth anniversary with a solid reunion on her speak present. On Halloween, Barrymore introduced castmates Henry Thomas, Dee Wallace, and Robert McNaughton on “The Drew Barrymore Show” as they relived some lovable highlights from the beloved film.

Barrymore remembered genuinely loving E.T. — or the puppet model of him, voiced by Pat Welsh — whereas she was filming the film. “I actually cherished him in such a profound approach,” she stated. “I might go and take lunch to him.”

According to the solid, once they came upon about Barrymore’s affection for the alien, they have been positive to nurture it. “We discovered you over there simply speaking away to E.T. so we let [director] Steven [Spielberg] know, and so Steven, from that point on, appointed two guys to maintain E.T. alive so everytime you came visiting to speak him, he might react to you,” Wallace, who performed Barrymore’s mom within the film, recalled.
