Walmart Revenue Rises as Higher Prices Lift Business

Walmart income rose within the second quarter as the retail big benefited from customers each paying extra for items and stepping up procuring journeys to its shops.

Walmart, in its earnings report Tuesday, mentioned it’s gaining market share in some classes such as grocery as shoppers grapple with inflation, and that some Covid-19-related prices have shrunk. But larger costs have led buyers to hold back on some purchases. Walmart can also be promoting by a glut of stock resulting in larger reductions.
