Starbucks Names Laxman Narasimhan New CEO

Starbucks named as its new CEO shopper merchandise government Laxman Narasimhan, months after former head Howard Schultz briefly took over to steer the coffee giant via rising prices, a unionization push and challenges abroad.

Mr. Narasimhan, 55 years previous, on Thursday announced he would step down from Reckitt Benckiser Group PLC on Sept. 30. Mr. Narasimhan for the previous three years has served as chief government of U.Ok.-based Reckitt, maker of Lysol and Enfamil child formulation, and The Wall Street Journal reported that he was in remaining negotiations to take a senior position at a U.S. firm.
