FTC Appeals Judge’s Dismissal of Suit Against Illumina Deal

WASHINGTON—Antitrust enforcers on the Federal Trade Commission have appealed an administrative-law judge’s decision to dismiss a lawsuit difficult Illumina Inc.’s $7.1 billion acquisition of cancer-test developer Grail Inc.

The transfer means the case will now be thought of by the five-member fee, which consists of three Democratic members and two Republicans. FTC Chairwoman Lina Khan, who leads the fee and has taken a stricter view of antitrust violations, would take part within the evaluation.
