Fracking Pioneer Harold Hamm Moves to Take Continental Resources Private



Harold Hamm, the billionaire fracking pioneer who helped launch the U.S. shale boom, is wanting to take Continental Resources personal, providing about $4.3 billion in money to purchase the portion of the corporate’s shares he and his household don’t already personal.

Mr. Hamm, 76, and different members of his household collectively maintain about 83% of Continental, the Oklahoma City-based oil producer he ran for many years as chief govt, fueling a shale-drilling bonanza within the Bakken Shale of North Dakota which is immediately one of many largest U.S. oil-producing areas.
