Billionaire Ray-Ban Owner Leonardo Del Vecchio Dies at 87

Leonardo Del Vecchio, the Italian industrialist who constructed an eyewear empire that spanned from Ray-Ban to among the greatest style manufacturers, has died. The billionaire was 87.

EssilorLuxottica SA, the eyewear large for which Mr. Del Vecchio served as chairman, introduced his demise Monday with out disclosing a trigger. The firm added that its board of administrators would meet to find out subsequent steps.
